1st Conference on Health Technologies of ULSLA

Welcome to the 1st Health Technologies Conference of ULSLA.

The Local Health Unit of Litoral Alentejano, EPE, in partnership with ABC – Algarve Biomedical Center, is organizing this event with the aim of promoting and sharing knowledge, as well as experiences and practices among different professions to which the higher diagnosis and therapeutic technicians belong, both in the Hospital and Primary Health Care settings.

The main objective is to higher contribute to scientific and professional knowledge in various multidisciplinary approaches to prevention, diagnosis and therapy in different pathologies, namely HPV and Gynecological Neoplasms, Tuberculosis, Stroke, and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.

For the enrichment of our professions, we look forward to your presence!

Regulation for Submission of ePosters - Free Theme

Submitted works should preferably be original.

At least one of the authors must be registered for the conference.

A maximum of 4 authors will be allowed for each work.

The abstract should contain a maximum of 250 words and must be sent, in Word format, by March 29, 2023, to the email of the Organizing Committee: comissao.jornadas.tsdt@ulsla.min-saude.pt.

Submitted works will be evaluated by the conference's Scientific Committee, and authors will be informed about their acceptance or rejection by April 9, 2023.

Accepted works will be presented in the form of a digital poster and should be prepared according to the following requirements:

  • The poster should reflect the content of the abstract, including the names of the authors and the identification of the institution.
  • It should be developed and structured to reflect an introduction, methodology, results/discussion, final considerations, and bibliographic references.
  • Posters must have a 9:16 format, with vertical orientation.
  • Image resolution: 150 to 300 dpi; the projection equipment for the posters will have a height of 166 cm and a width of 93.4 cm.
  • Font size: Equal to or greater than 8, and in the bibliography, equal to or greater than 6 (authors should ensure a font type and size that allows reading the poster from a distance of about 1.5 m).
  • The poster should be submitted in PNG format by April 30.

The exhibited posters will be entered into a competition and evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Conference based on the following criteria:

  • Scientific written component: Quality of information, scientific rigor; degree of innovation/contribution to scientific discussion; relevance and contribution to the institution and/or profession; linguistic expression and formal correctness.
  • Organization and graphic composition: Poster organization, overall graphic appearance, and readability (considering font type and size, spacing, text density, and distribution for reading from a distance of 1.5 meters).

A prize will be awarded to the best poster, which will be announced by the Organizing Committee during the Conference.
