IX Rheumatology and Family Medicine Conference of Algarve 2023

With great satisfaction, the Rheumatology Department of the University Hospital Center of Algarve is pleased to announce the 9th edition of the Rheumatology and Family Medicine Conference of Algarve, after a somewhat extended hiatus, motivated, among other reasons, by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Rheumatology Department is now strengthened, boasting 4 specialists and 4 specific training interns. The aim is to further enhance communication between Rheumatology and General and Family Medicine, particularly in Algarve.

These conferences are the ideal occasion to  discuss the most revelant topics in theumatic diseases for family physicians, serving as a privileged space for sharing knowledge where all doubts related to musculoskeletal disorders can be addressed.

Alongside an appealing scientific program covering topics such as osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, regional pathology of the wrist and hand, and the impact of Depression and Obesity on rheumatic diseases, there will also be a poster competition with a prize for the best poster. The author will be invited to give an oral presentation on it at the end of the conference.

We look forward to your presence and active participation in the conference to make it a unique and unforgettable event!
