Currently the Medical Director for AbbVie Portugal, I have dedicated my last 15 years to the biotech/pharma industry, mainly in the Medical Department of international pharma companies such as Novartis and AbbVie, holding roles with increased responsibility, always with a strong focus on implementing local evidence generation projects while fostering an internal and external, evidence-based medicine mindset.
I hold a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Cambridge UK and a 5-years degree in Biological Engineering from IST, Portugal. In addition, I have also experience in early drug discovery and pharmaceutical products development in a biotech environment.
