Kasia Jurczak

Kasia Jurczak is Head of Unit “Combatting Diseases” at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), where she guides Horizon Europe funding strategies addressing infectious and non-communicable diseases. She has over twenty years of EU-level policy experience across public health, labour and social policy, civil protection, and humanitarian aid. Before joining DG RTD, she worked in the private office of the Commissioner for Crisis Management, advising on COVID-19, global health emergencies, and EU humanitarian actions in Latin America and the Caribbean. She also serves on several global health research boards and studied at LSE and Leuven universities.
